Menorca will host the fourth edition of CHECK-IN – International Hospitality Film Festival on 29 and 30 April 2027.

But Menorca is more than the place where the festival takes place. Its identity, landscape, heritage and approach to tourism are part of the story of CHECK-IN 2027.
From a territory internationally recognised for its commitment to sustainability, CHECK-IN opens a conversation about the future of hospitality and tourism, and how both can be communicated through audiovisual storytelling.

Menorca is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and a human-scale island where heritage, landscape, culture, hospitality and sustainability coexist.

This context connects directly with some of the questions CHECK-IN aims to explore: how destinations are evolving, how the visitor experience is changing and what role stories play in shaping and communicating a tourism model.

For this reason, Menorca is not simply a backdrop for CHECK-IN 2027. The island forms part of the festival’s content, experience and international positioning.

The hospitality industry is changing. Travel decisions are no longer based solely on price or destination: emotions, stories, reputation, sustainability, technology and the quality of the experience are becoming increasingly important.

Menorca provides a particularly relevant setting in which to explore this transformation. The island offers an opportunity to discuss tourism from the perspective of balance, territorial identity, heritage and the relationship between visitors and the local community.

CHECK-IN brings this reflection to an international stage, connecting professionals from tourism, hospitality, creativity, audiovisual production, innovation and sustainability.

CHECK-IN aims to highlight initiatives and best practices capable of creating a positive environmental, social and cultural impact. Sustainability is not treated as a decorative element of the conversation, but as one of the key issues redefining the future of hospitality.

For years, Terres Landscape & Travel Communication has promoted sustainability through meaningful content, critical thinking and education.

Within this context, CHECK-IN aims to address these issues with rigour and credibility, avoiding superficial narratives and greenwashing.

Menorca therefore provides a particularly relevant setting for these conversations: not simply as the host destination, but as a territory from which to observe, share and discuss different approaches to tourism development.

On 29 and 30 April 2027, CHECK-IN will bring together professionals, brands, destinations, creators and organisations connected to the future of hospitality in Menorca.

The fourth edition will connect audiovisual storytelling, accommodation, gastronomy, experiences, mobility, sustainability, technology, innovation and creativity within a single international meeting point.

The aim is to generate conversations that open new perspectives on how hospitality is communicated and how the industry can evolve in the years ahead.
